Add this to your routine and you will thank me.
Last week I decided to try a new type of workout, much different than what I’m used to doing at the gym. My usual workout mostly consists of weights and some light cardio.

I tried a spin class at Spin Énergie in Montreal and can I be honest with you? It was awesome! Despite it being such a difficult workout, I barely felt as though I was working out, I call that success. ☑
I've never had the opportunity to try a spin class so I really didn't know what to expect. Surprisingly enough, for my first time, the coordinator suggested I keep my regular sneakers on instead of trying the cycling shoes which can be clipped to the pedals to help alleviate pressure from your quadriceps while pedaling. Fancy shoes or not, I had a blast and it was an intense workout.
The particular class I attended included only Missy Elliott music so naturally I loved it. They dimmed the lights for the class so you weren't able to see the people around you - I know it sounds spooky but it gave the class a very nice vibe. I was extremely sore for the next 3 days but it was definitely worth it and I plan on incorporating this specific type of spinning into my workout routine (maybe twice a week).
Check them out at www.spinenergie.com and take advantage of their intro class for $10 (most Spin classes are $20 drop in).
Let me know if you try it or if you’ve tried any other spin classes that are worth the drive!
XO,
Marie Cristina
