15$ Meals | Creamy Bell Pepper Pasta and Chicken

Serves 4-5

Ingredients

2 lbs chicken drumsticks (8-10)

1 red bell pepper sliced

1 yellow onion sliced

2 cloves garlic minced

1/2 cube chicken bouillon

1.5 tbsp chili powder

1 tbsp each garlic powder and onion powder

1/2 tbsp parsley flakes

1 tsp each salt & pepper

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp flour

1 cup milk + 1/2 cup water

1 box pasta of choice

 

Method

1. In a medium bowl combine chicken drumsticks, 1 tbsp chili powder, onion powder and garlic powder, and 1 tbsp olive oil.  Bake in Air Fryer for (25 Minutes at 390F) or oven (40 minutes at 400F) flipping them half way through.

2. In a large pot filled with water, cook pasta according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

3. In a skillet, add 1 tbsp olive oil, onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add bell pepper and sautee for an additional 2 minutes. Sprinkle flour all over, add milk and mix well. Once the milk starts to bubble up add remaining spices (1/2 tbsp chili powder, chicken bouillon cube, salt, pepper and parsley flakes). If the sauce is too thick, thin it down with the water.

4. Add drained pasta to sauce & serve with chicken.

*Optional: sprinkle parmesan and/or fresh parsley on top ✨
